The dancer is completely covered in a white, paper suit. The only thing we see of the dancer is a life-size, naked image of him on the front of this suit.

The image is brought to life by the movements of the dancer inside the suit.

He takes the suit off only to discover that he now no longer has a face.

A transition: lights dim, sound comes on,

10 sec,

Light goes on, sound go’s of.

Sliding over the floor, the dancer moves around trying to fold and rub his skin in as many ways as possible.

Suddenly the dancer disappears into a white box. We see a leg and a box, an arm and a box, a box hopping around…

We see the dancer with a smaller box on his head. From inside the box a camera projects live images onto big sheets of white paper. The audience sees what the dancer sees.

A dance develops involving the live, projected image and the performer’s shadow image.

Fruit is smashed and turned inside out.

Skinsideout is a performance arising from an absurd desire to turn oneself inside out. To deconstruct our view of how we perceive a person. To invite the audience to get underneath and behind the performer’s skin.
